FIRE ALARM INSTALLATION
The UK government recommends that all fire alarm and detection systems should be installed and maintained in accordance with British Standards (BS 5839). To ensure you get the right fire alarm system for your premises and that this meets UK fire alarm regulations. It is recommended you use a reputable fire protection company.
MCCONNELL FIRE and SECURITY LTD can also carry out Design and Commission in accordance with
BS 5839.
SERVICE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
It is a legal requirement that your fire alarm is functioning property. Routine servicing is imperative to remain compliant.
MCCONNELL FIRE and SECURITY LTD can provide a cost effective maintenance package, tailored to your premises.
We also offer a 24 hour call out service. If your fire alarm system develops a fault, do not hesitate to give our experienced team a call.
EMERGENCY LIGHTING
If your power supply fails, emergency lighting is there to provide illumination of escape routes, call points, the fire panel and extinguishers. Emergency lighting allows occupants and emergency services to see in the event of an emergency.
As with all emergency equipment, it is essential that it is tested and maintained. BS 5266 recommends that these are tested monthly and bi-annually with a full duration test carried on the annual servicing. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Fire Extinguisher servicing is essential and is documented in BS 5306. The British Standards state that annual maintenance of fire protection equipment including fire extinguishers must be carried out by a competent person. An inspection is carried out by our experienced technician and upon completion we will provide you with a certificate of inspection.
